Here is some advice you may benefit from before starting your iMeditation.
It will definitely be better if you listen to the meditations with your headphones or earphones on. That will give you the best effect of the sounds in each meditation.
It will also be good if you can sit somewhere private where you won’t be disturbed during your meditation. It is also a good idea if you meditate at approximately the same time every day. This is not the most important thing, however.
If you can get ready to meditate and ensure nothing can distract you, that will be perfect.
It is possible to download all the meditations, the free ones as well as the ones you have bought. Once you have downloaded them, you can use the “Airplane Mode” on your phone. That means you can stop all calls to the phone and send them to voicemail without disturbing you. This function is also necessary if you are going to travel on an airplane and you want to listen to your meditations. You will find “Airplane Mode” in general Settings – just set it to On.
It is good if you have somewhere you can sit really comfortably. Your body shouldn’t hurt during your meditation. It may well happen that you feel different sensations in your body during meditation. That is nothing to be afraid of, but if you do feel like leaving the meditation, just open your eyes and pay attention to your body and the surroundings. It is not necessary to sit in the “Lotus position”. Just sit comfortable in an ordinary chair or on a sofa or in your bed. It is important that you are sitting upright with your back straight. Unless you use the meditations to fall asleep to, that is. After your meditation it will be a good idea if you don’t open your eyes straight away. Sit for a few minutes with your eyes closed and when you feel ready, open your eyes. Don’t get up straight away, but stay seated for a while and take the time to feel yourself inside.
When you have meditated it is possible for you to upload your actual meditation time to the Internet. Just click the button called “Share” in “My Progress”.
What can go wrong with the app:
If your phone has low or no coverage, you will have problems streaming. You can avoid that by downloading your meditations. If you do run into other errors we would love to hear from you. Just email us on firstname.lastname@example.org and the team will have a look at the problem and possibly contact you within 48 hours.
It may happen, of course, that you relax so much during the meditation that you let go of the telephone. But in that case you will just hear a beep sound, and the meditation will continue as soon as you put your fingers back on the buttons.
